Its time again to honor some our awesome athletes, artists and Tigers! This week's 'of the weeks' are athletes Bria Wright & Kannon Williams; artist Jackson Chittenden; and Tiger Trey Kitchin.
Bria is a standout member of the OHS Track and Field team and recently brought home, not one but two state medals, according to Head Coach Justin Emmerton.
"Bria is special because she is so good at so many things," Emmerton said. "Bria is an exceptional hurdler, sprinter, and jumper. It is a lot like training for three different sports at the same time. It takes great dedication and great focus to improve on all those different events throughout the season. She continues to improve in all events, which is a credit to her work ethic. In addition to all her hard work, she does it all with a smile and great attitude. She is not only a great athlete, but a greater teammate."
For Bria, she loves track because of how it pushes her.
“I love track because it holds you accountable and it pushes you to perform better every meet," she said. "I have loved this season because we have such a well rounded team. This is the first time I’ve won a conference and district championship, and I think it’s because all my teammates have put in the work to be successful."

A standout on the boys track and field team, Kannon is a key member of the team and recently brought home a fourth place medal from state in the 200M, according to Head Coach Justin Emmerton.
"Watching Kannon sprint is just plain fun. Not only is he really fast, but he is such a technical runner," Emmerton said. "He is an amazing example for our younger sprinters. At practice he is focused and diligent in his work, yet humble and fun to be around. He has continued to break records this season and had a great showing at the state meet."
Kannon said he had specific goals for this season motivated by a special quote.
"This season I had some very specific goals and I kept my motivation by reflecting on this quote by Thomas Jefferson: 'If you want something you have never had, you must be willing to do something you have never done,'" he said.

Jackson is recognized as one of OHS’s many talented singers in the Men's Chorus, according to Assistant Choir Director Connor Gately.
“We are so excited to have Jackson in our program," Gately said. "He has been a great addition to Men’s Chorus all year but really went above and beyond the last few weeks of school. He stepped up in a big way as a leader in his section as they worked through some very challenging music for our Spring Concert. Jackson has an incredibly bright future here at OHS and we are excited to help him continue to grow over the next few years.”

Trey is made his mark this year in a variety of activities, but especially the boys tennis team, according to Head Coach Rebekah Jenkins.
"Trey competed in districts and placed fourth in singles, beating Kickapoo’s #2 Varsity player as he moved through the bracket," Jenkins said. "Trey played 67 games that day in our individual districts, remarkable for his freshman year and we are looking forward to his future on this team. Trey is cool under pressure and coachable during a match, two key components to an effective tennis player."
Congrats Bria, Kannon, Jackson & Trey!
