Get to Know Dr. Ashley BoughTell me a little about your family. Do you have any kids?
My husband, Brett and I have been married for 19 years and have two children. Our daughter, Blair will be a junior at Ozark and our son, Drake will be a freshman this year. Our family love sports and you can find us in a gym or on a field most of the time. We are excited to be a part of the Tiger family! Where are you from?
I graduated from Lebanon High School and then attended Missouri State University where I played volleyball. I started my teaching and coaching career at my alma mater in Lebanon, Missouri and then just recently served at the Strafford School District as a coach and administrator. What was your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject growing up was P.E. in school (like most) but I also really enjoyed English in my high school career. What sports or activities did you participate in while you were in school?
I grew up playing volleyball and basketball primarily but also ran distance in track as well as being a part of the show choir in my early high school career. Tell me a little about your coaching background. What sports have you coached?
While serving at Lebanon, I coached HS Volleyball and also JH & HS Basketball. Most recently I served as the Head Volleyball Coach at Strafford High School. What is something you like to do outside of work?
I spend most of my free time cheering on my kids at their various sporting events. We also enjoy spending time with our family and friends! What is something you can't live without?
I spend most of my day drinking coffee, so it would be tough for me without it. On a serious note...I am blessed to have an amazing support system made up of my family. My life would not be the same without them. What is your favorite color, food and TV show/movie?
Color: yellow Food: tomatoes TV Show/Movie: Anything with a little bit of comedy and a happy ending. What does it mean to be an Ozark Tiger?
Being an Ozark Tiger means understanding that you represent something bigger than yourself. Every time you put on an Ozark uniform or wear the Tiger logo, you're carrying on the tradition of those who came before you while setting the standard for those who will come after you. It's about taking pride in our school, competing the right way, and leaving our program better than we found it. |
