Academic Team What is it? Academic Team, also known as Scholar Bowl, is a MSHSAA sponsored activity. It is a fast-paced, team-based trivia game where players answer questions on various topics, including math, science, history, grammar, sports, popular culture, and geography. We meet after school on Thursdays in Ms.Samsinak’s classroom at the OIC in Room 504, and we participate in after-school tournaments in the area. JOIN US! This year there will be a student led extension of the FCCLA Chapter that will focus on Fashion topics. This Fashion Club (under the FCCLA Organization) will offer several after school activities related to Fashion and Design. Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) What is it? HOSA is a global student-led organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services and several federal and state agencies. HOSA’s mission is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community, through education, collaboration, and experience. Mathematics Honor Society What is it? The Mathematics Honor Society is an esteemed community within OHS, specifically tailored for students achieving in advanced mathematics courses. These dedicated students not only excel in their own mathematical pursuits, but also serve others by offering their expertise by tutoring fellow peers, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Their commitment and achievements culminate during their senior year, as they earn well-deserved recognition and accolades from Mu Alpha Theta, symbolizing their outstanding contributions to both the field of mathematics and their school community. Youth Empowerment Project of Ozark (YEPO) What is it? YEPO is a student philanthropy club that fundraises money to give back to student organizations in our school. We also complete service projects as a large group (Convoy of Hope, Harmony House, School-wide clean up, etc). If you like to help people then this is the club for you!
