Its time again to honor some our awesome athletes, artists and Tigers! This week's 'of the weeks' are athletes Kylan Pickren & Emily Price; artist Sam Faught and Tiger Addie Groeteke.
Kylan is a standout player for the boys basketball team and has been a key contributor to the team’s success this season, according to Head Coach James Donnelly.
"Kylan had a great three days at the Republic Tournament," Donnelly said. "He was named to the first team All-Tournament team while averaging 21 points per game and five rebounds per game against three very good teams as we finished fourth overall."

Emily is a standout on the girls wrestling team and has been a driving force behind the team’s success this season, according to Head Coach Tod Sundlie.
"Emily was our only champion this past weekend at the very tough Ft. Zumwalt North tournament in St. Louis," Sundlie said. "It was a dominant performance, and she really led our team on and off the mat."

Sam, a standout in both concert band and jazz band, is an exceptional musician and a key leader in the band program, according to Band Director Tom Meyer.
"Sam earned All-State honors on French horn this week and is also an All-District performer on drum set in the jazz area," Meyer said. "Sam has amazing enthusiasm for music and brings an incredible amount of positive energy as a leader for the band program."

Addie, a dedicated member of Educators Rising, recently showcased her passion for teaching by planning and delivering an engaging lesson to Ms. Whitton’s fourth-grade class at North Elementary, according to Educators Rising Sponsor Trista Hilton.
"Addie planned and taught a lesson about interpersonal relationships, focusing on how to fill someone’s bucket with kindness and avoid dipping from someone’s bucket," Hilton said. "She did a tremendous job with the fourth graders, who really enjoyed having her as a guest teacher. Addie will even compete with this lesson at the state competition in the spring."
