Its time again to honor some our awesome athletes, artists and Tigers! This week's 'of the weeks' are athletes Sydney Lister & Madison See; artist Cammie Dyke and Tiger Barnabas "Barney" Miller.
Sydney is a standout runner for the cross-country team and has been instrumental to the team’s success this season, according to Head Coach Mitchell Furtkamp.
“Sydney had a massive performance at the COC Championships,” Furtkamp said. “She finished fifth overall to secure first team All-Conference and set a personal record as well. Sydney has played a large part in the success of our girls team. We look forward to seeing how things unfold for Sydney and the girls team as the District and State Championships finish up our season.”

Madison has been a dedicated leader for the varsity cheer team, bringing passion and drive to every practice and performance, according to Head Cheer Coach Tess Keller
“Madi was a key factor in our 1st place state championship win this past weekend in Columbia,” Keller said. “She was selected as an All-State athlete for the third year in a row. Madi is a member of our OVC leadership council and does an exceptional job at leading this team by the examples she sets. She constantly reviews practice film, critiquing where we as a team can improve. She comes in regularly with motivational speeches and pep talks to keep our team focused on our goals. Her expectations for herself as an athlete and for her teammates are of the highest standard. We are so proud of you, Mad Dog!”

Cammie, a standout in choir and theater, is a remarkable talent and a valued leader in the Fall Musical, Elf, according to Theater Teacher Claire Visnovske.
“Cammie is truly an asset to the Fall Musical Elf!" Visnovske said. "As the Dance Captain, she plays a crucial role in ensuring that the choreography shines. Her ability to master her own parts while also understanding everyone else’s choreography shows her dedication and leadership. This not only helps in polishing the performances but also fosters a supportive environment for her fellow cast members. With her guidance, the musical is sure to be a fantastic success!"

Barney is a dedicated culinary student who consistently demonstrates leadership and teamwork, according to culinary teacher Chef Laurent Watts.
"Barney is the epitome of service before self," Chef Watts said. "He is always the first to volunteer for any task. Barney consistently helps his classmates out, especially in the dish room, where he assists them in getting their dishes done. You can tell he has all the aspects of a great leader."
