On Saturday, October 19th, the 8th Grade A team capped off the season with a thrilling 1st place victory in the conference tournament. Their journey began with dominant wins over Westport and Lebanon, advancing them to the gold division. In the semifinals, they faced Cherokee, taking control of both games and earning a spot in the championship match against Nixa.
The championship opened with a strong performance, as the girls took the first set 25-16. Despite falling behind 10-2 in the second set, they showed incredible resilience, battling back to close the gap and eventually falling 21-25. However, their earlier dominance secured the overall championship title. This marks back-to-back COC championships for this exceptional group of athletes. We couldn’t be more proud of their hard work and look forward to seeing what they achieve in high school volleyball!
