Cross Country Team Shines at Buffalo Invitational, Excels at Conference Meet

As the cross country season reached its peak, our team used the Buffalo Invitational to make final adjustments before the COC meet. The meet at Buffalo was a resounding success for both the boys' and girls' teams. The boys dominated the competition, finishing 1st overall, while the girls put in a strong effort to secure a 2nd-place finish behind a tough Lebanon girls team. The tune-up served its purpose, providing the runners with valuable race experience and sharpening their competitive edge ahead of the conference showdown.

Hudson Vesley and 7th Grade Boys Shine at Conference

At the conference meet, the 7th grade boys came out determined and ready to make a statement. Their hard work all season paid off in spectacular fashion as they captured the 1st place team title. Leading the way was Hudson Vesley, whose relentless drive earned him the title of individual conference champion. His performance reflected not just his physical abilities, but his mental toughness and dedication to the sport. Hudson’s win set the tone for a complete team victory, as every runner played their part in delivering the championship with a score of 22 points, 7 points from a near perfect team finish.

Kate Adams and 8th Grade Girls Dominate

In the 8th grade girls' race, Kate Adams showed why she is one of the premier runners in the conference. Her flawless performance earned her the individual conference champion title, a well-deserved recognition of her season-long consistency and determination. Kate’s victory fueled the 8th grade girls' team, who raced with determination and focus to take home the 1st place team title making that back to back COC victories for that group of girls. Their collective efforts demonstrated the depth and talent of the squad, who have continued to improve and support each other throughout the season.

8th Grade Boys Show Grit in Second Place Finish

The 8th grade boys' team put on an inspiring performance, finishing 2nd in one of the most competitive races of the day. It was a race marked by guts and grit, with every runner leaving everything out on the course. Though they narrowly missed the top spot, the team's effort was undeniable, showing resilience and heart. Their strong performance in the face of tough competition bodes well for future meets as they continue to grow and develop.

7th Grade Girls Compete Tough for 4th

The 7th grade girls stepped up to the challenge and delivered a solid team performance, finishing 4th overall in their race. The young squad competed with determination and toughness, pushing through the challenges that come with high-stakes meets. While they just missed the podium, their performance is a testament to their growth this season and their potential for future success.

Looking Ahead

With the conference meet now behind them, our runners will look to build on their successes as they head into the final meet of the season at Hermitage. The future is bright for both the boys' and girls' teams, who have shown tremendous dedication, grit, and talent throughout the year. The leadership of runners like Hudson Vesley and Kate Adams, combined with the depth of talent across all grades, has set the foundation for continued success in the seasons to come.
