OF THE WEEKS (OCT. 7)

OZARK TIGERS

Ozark | 10/7/2024

Its time again to honor some our awesome athletes, artists and Tigers! This week's 'of the weeks' are athletes Kole Delong & Olivia Igartua; artist Callee Groves and Tiger Jackson Neimoth.

Kole is a member of the varsity boys cross country team where he is constantly working to improve, according to head coach Mitchell Furtkamp.

"Kole had his best race of the season recently in Arkansas at the prestigious Chile Pepper Festival," Furtkamp said. "He is showing growth as an athlete and continuing to learn what it takes to be great at this sport. The boys' team posted a season best team average time at Chile Pepper of 17:20. This mark is 10 seconds behind our school record. We look forward to seeing how Kole and the boys team will continue to improve as we head into championship season."

Olivia is a member of Ozark Varsity Cheer where she is a consistent leader for her fellow teammates, according to head coach Tess Keller.

"Not just this week but every week, Olivia exemplifies leadership, consistent effort, and represents our program to the upmost," Keller said. "She has helped lead us to four regional championships and four state titles. She plays a pivotal role as a member of our leadership council. When she is not at cheer she is helping coach our Youth Cheer Program to help teach the next generation of Ozark Cheer."

Callee is one of Ozark's many talented musicians and currently is one of the drum majors for the Pride of the Ozarks Marching Band, according to Band Director Tom Meyer.

"Callee is a fantastic leader in the Ozark band," Meyer said. "She is a drum major and plays alto saxophone in concert and jazz bands. Callee is a very hard worker and sets the bar high for her peers."

Jackson is co-captain of the Varsity Raider Team and is an important leader, according to JROTC Instructor Jason Allen.

"As a humble leader, Jackson sets an example through his work ethic, perseverance, and dedication, inspiring his teammates both in practice and during competition," Allen said. "His physical capabilities are matched by his commitment to helping others succeed. Whether leading the charge in intense physical challenges or supporting his peers through difficult moments, Jackson is known for his calm, composed demeanor and his ability to motivate those around him."

Congrats Kole, Olivia, Callee & Jackson!
