Ozark Volleyball Undefeated in Conference Play

The Ozark Tigers came out with the win on Tuesday evening, Sept 19th in the 2nd Conference game of the year against the Branson Pirates 3 sets to none. Ozark came out attacking in set 1 and won the set 25-15. Ozark again played strong in set 2 and dominated the 2nd set 25-12. Ozark took the 3rd set 25-16.

Ozark controlled the statistical categories in the match hitting a .416 hitting percentage as a team and accumulating 2.50 total blocks. The Tigers held the Pirates to a .195 hitting percentage as a team and forced Branson to commit a total of 27 errors.

Ozark middle attacker Skylar Hilton led the team with a .500% hitting percentage with 12 kills on 20 attempts while outside hitter Reagan Baade collected 18 kills on 29 swings for a .483% hitting percentage. Junior Libero Macy Humble recorded 12 digs and Sophomore Alexis Andela put up 10 digs. Ozark had 6 aces during the game. Ozark had 50 kills during the game. Junior Reece Cook had 41 Assists and Ozark had 5 Blocks during the game.

Ozark moves to 13-2 and Branson goes down to 10-9-3. Ozark is ranked 6th in the state and Branson is 113th according to Maxpreps.com. Ozark Freshmen and JV teams won both games. The JV squad remains undefeated.

On Thursday, Sept 21st Ozark traveled to Carthage High School where they defeated the Tigers 3-0 with scores of 25-18 25-18, 25-16. Ozark had six players hit over a .200% hitting average, recorded 58 total digs, and 2.5 total blocks. They held the Carthage Tigers to a .111% hitting percentage as a team and forced Carthage to commit 33 unforced errors. Sophomore Tara Venable led the way offensively for the Ozark Tigers 13 kills on 28 swings while 4 Ozark players recorded double digit digs.

JV won their match in two sets, Freshmen won a nail-biter in 3 sets. The JV team remains undefeated. Varsity moved to 14-2 on the season and undefeated in COC action.
