Ozark High School Cross Country continues to make its mark this season with strong team finishes, personal bests and new school records.
At the 2026 Gans Creek Classic, the Tigers recorded seven personal bests and two school records. Senior Garrett Stafford set a new Ozark 5K record with a time of 15:40.9, finishing seventh in the Gold Division. Junior Andrew Ashley followed closely behind, placing 10th with a time of 15:46.0, the second-fastest 5K time in school history. Both runners surpassed the previous school record set in 2012.
Their performances helped lead the varsity boys to a third-place finish and a school-record team average of 16:20.8. The girls placed 17th out of 30 teams in the Gold Division and added four new personal records.
The strong showing followed another successful meet at the Lebanon Invitational on Sept. 19, where Ozark earned three team championships. The varsity boys, JV boys and JV girls all finished first, while the varsity girls placed second.
With record-breaking performances and strong team finishes, the Tigers continue to build momentum as they move through the season.
