Ozark’s 8th Grade B volleyball team put together an impressive day Saturday at Allison SportsTown, finishing undefeated and bringing home the tournament championship.
Coached by Kyle Laws, the Tigers rolled through pool play with wins over Carthage and Neosho before defeating Republic in the semifinals, 25-23 and 25-16. In the championship match, Ozark faced rival Nixa and battled back after dropping the opening set. The Tigers responded with a dominant 25-10 second set and then finished the job with a 15-8 win in the third to claim the title.
Ozark’s 7th Grade B team also had a strong tournament performance. Coached by V’Laura Sundlie, the Tigers went undefeated in pool play before falling in a close championship match to Nixa. They finished the day as tournament runners-up.
It was a great showing for both Ozark teams, with the 7th and 8th grade B squads combining for a day full of competitive volleyball and strong performances.
