Ozark Junior High football kicked off the season with a strong showing against Waynesville, with both the seventh- and eighth-grade Tigers showing plenty of reasons to be excited about the season ahead.

For the eighth-grade Tigers, Thursday night was a great example of just how much can change in a year. This same group had a tough night against Waynesville as seventh graders last season, but this time around was a completely different story. The A-Team battled Waynesville to a 14-14 tie, while the B-Team came away with an exciting 30-22 victory. It was a great way to open the season and showed just how much this group has grown over the past year.

The seventh-grade Tigers made quite a first impression of their own. The A-Team put together a dominant performance, defeating Waynesville 64-22. The B-Team followed it up with an impressive 40-0 shutout to complete a great night for Ozark Junior High football.

With strong performances from all four teams, Week 1 gave Tiger fans plenty to look forward to as the season gets underway.
