Dating back to 2019, Ozark has been represented at State by a Maskrod for seven of the past eight years.
The Lady Tigers’ Hannah Maskrod finished second at 125 pounds in Class 2 District 3 action Saturday to join her older brothers Elijah and Levi as State qualifiers in multiple years.
Hannah and Levi are two-time State qualifiers and Elijah made it to State three times.
“My sophomore year, I didn’t go to State because I didn't make it and my brothers had graduated,” Hannah said. “Other than that, there's been a pretty long line of (repeat trips to Columbia).”
“We've taken some Maskrods up to State, it's been fun,” said Ozark coach Tod Sundlie, who coached all three Maskrods.
Hannah will bring a 40-6 record to State in two weeks. She is ranked No. 6 at 125 in Class 2 by MissouriWrestling.com.
Maskrod was pinned in 4:23 in her District title tilt by Republic’s Savannah Bratten (26-1).
‘She's tough on top,” Maskrod said of Bratten. “She has crazy pressure on top, it's impressive.”
Last year at State, Maskrod was 1-2 at 120.
