On Wednesday, Feb. 4, four Ozark High School athletes announced that they have committed to play their sport at the collegiate level. Congrats to all of these athletes and we can’t wait to see what they do in the future!
Maddox Cook - SBU - Pickleball
"This first year is about building something from the ground up—establishing culture, competitiveness, and relationships. Maddox stood out immediately, not just because of his ability, but because of his attitude, his willingness to learn, and the way he carries himself. Those are the qualities we want to build this program around.” - Minh Dinh (SBU Pickleball Head Coach)
Isabelle Bryant - University of Health Science and Pharmacy - Softball
“Good people make better players, and Izzy is the gold standard for that. As a first-year coach, you lean heavily on your seniors, and Izzy helped guide me through this program while leading her teammates with honesty, confidence, and care. She gave us exactly what we needed, even when it wasn’t easy.” - Brendan Schneider (OHS Head Softball Coach)
Brooklyn Schulte - University of Nebraska at Kearney - Soccer
“Brooklyn didn’t just arrive at this moment, she earned it step by step. Through early mornings, long practices, and setbacks, she consistently chose growth over comfort. What stands out most isn’t just her ability, but her commitment to getting better and raising the level of everyone around her.” - Zack Owens (OHS Head Soccer Coach)
Luke Baer - Pitt State University - Baseball
“Luke puts a tremendous amount of pressure on himself, not for personal success, but because he never wants to let his teammates down. That mindset is rare. He did the recruiting process the right way, found a place where he fits, and earned the trust of coaches who believe in him.” - Justin Sundlie (OHS Head Baseball Coach)
