SPRINGFIELD — Ozark’s Maggie Sult emerged from a shooting slump to lead the Lady Tigers to a 65-36 Pink Division first-round win versus Lebanon at the Pink & White Tournament on Friday.
Sult scored a game-high18 points. She had 11 points in the second quarter.
“Early in the she season, she struggled from the 3-point line. But I told her to keep shooting, that she’s a good shooter,” coach Brandon Clift said. “Today, she got some shots to fall early and that helped her confidence a ton. I hope this a spark that ignites her to keep going.”
Clift thinks Sult can be a threat offensively from the perimeter and in the paint.
