The Ozark Junior High girls wrestling team earned a third-place finish at the All-Central Ozark Conference Championship, tying with Webb City with a total of 69 team points. Competing against strong programs from across the conference, the Tigers showed determination and depth throughout the tournament.
Ozark had several standout individual performances, led by a group of wrestlers who reached the finals. Alina Tsaruk (90), Sydney Russell (105), Samantha Zamora (110), and Esther Tsaruk (115) all placed second, combining for a significant portion of the team’s overall score. Their consistency on the mat helped keep Ozark in the top tier of the team standings.
Additional points came from strong podium finishes by Ava Redford (115), who placed third, and Allie Beets (142), who earned a fourth-place finish. Other Ozark wrestlers gained valuable experience and contributed in key moments, including Kindle Blades, Malin Sorlie, Addison Decker, Layna Dencklau, Sammi Lopez, and Caliann Whitehead, each competing in a challenging bracket.
The Tigers’ third-place finish at the All-COC Championship reflects the continued growth of the Ozark Junior High girls wrestling program and the hard work of the athletes and coaching staff. Congratulations to all competitors on a strong conference showing.
