Ozark Junior High Boys Wrestling Wins COC East Championship

The Ozark Junior High boys wrestling team captured the Central Ozark Conference East Championship, edging out Cherokee Middle School by a final team score of 303 points. The Tigers put together an outstanding team performance across all weight classes, showing depth, consistency, and toughness throughout the tournament.

Ozark crowned multiple individual champions and earned key placements that helped secure the conference title. First-place finishers included Xavier Cheevers (80), Grayson Johnson (85), Sawyer Fevold (90), Cache Price (125), Cameron Irons (130), Carter York (135), Kolby Reid (142), Maddox Moreland (150), and Illia Bohdanets (225). Each of these wrestlers contributed valuable team points while competing at a high level.

Strong runner-up performances also played a critical role in the team’s success. Mason Barns (95), Jaxon Harrington (100), Gabriel Mullins (165), and Arthur Penna DaSilva (180) all placed second, while Jaxon Baney (85), Jacob Gholston (115), Max Landgraf (120), Colton Ray (125), and Connor Verbenec (225) added important points with podium finishes. William Brockmeier rounded out the scoring contributing 5.5 points to the team.

This conference championship is a testament to the hard work of the wrestlers and coaching staff and reflects the strength of the Ozark Junior High wrestling program from top to bottom. Congratulations to all the athletes on a well-earned team title.
