Ozark Junior High wrestling is off to a remarkable start, fielding more than 50 boys and 17 girls as both programs continue to grow in strength and size.
The boys team turned in a standout performance at the Branson Invitational on Nov. 22, capturing first place with an impressive 583 points. Individual champions included Cache Price, Cameron Irons, Carter York, Colton Ray, Elias Fox, Gabriel Mullins, Kolby Reid, Taylor Levesque and William Brockmeier.
The girls team also made its mark early in the season. At the Nixa Invitational, Ester Tsaruk earned first place, while Briney Valenti secured a second-place finish in her weight class.
The teams now look ahead to conference action, with Girls COC set for Dec. 12 and the Boys COC scheduled for Dec. 13.
