The Tiger Poms are stepping into the new season with determination, momentum, and a clear vision for what they hope to achieve. After reaching one of their competitive goals last year, the team is raising the bar and pushing to place at the top in every competition they attend. Their drive is matched by an impressive work ethic, and the dancers are committed to elevating their performances each time they take the floor.
This year’s senior leaders include Sophia Hornickel, Cayli Merrell, Liberty Oliver and Josie Ray. Three of them bring four years of experience, while one senior is stepping into her first season with fresh energy. Together, they serve as encouragers, motivators and steady forces who help set the tone in practice and in performance. Josie Ray and Sophia Hornickel have taken ownership of refining choreography and ensuring the team is performance-ready, making them invaluable in the team’s preparation process.
The Tiger Poms will compete in three competitions this year, facing both local programs and teams from across the region. With a goal of earning first place, the dancers are embracing the challenge and bringing a renewed competitive edge to their training.
For the coaching staff, the excitement goes far beyond trophies. They are looking forward to seeing how the team grows together, both on and off the floor. The real joy, they say, comes from watching the dancers put in the work during long practices and then step off the competition floor beaming with pride. That confidence, built through effort and teamwork, is what makes the journey so rewarding.
With strong leadership, ambitious goals and a team-first spirit, the Tiger Poms are ready to make this season their best yet.
