Its time again to honor some our awesome athletes, artists and Tigers! This week's 'of the weeks' are athletes the varsity girls softball team; artist Kylie Lewis; and Tiger Gabriel El-Kassamani.

In their first season under new leadership, this young team ended the year on a strong note, according to head coach Brenden Schneider.

"Coming into the year with little varsity experience, the players knew that they would have to mature quickly in order to compete," Schneider said. "In late September we found a groove and won 14 of our last 18, finishing the year with a seven game winning streak until losing in the district championship, 5-4. I am so proud of these ladies and everything they accomplished. Thank you for a wonderful year!"

Kylie is one of the amazing drum majors for the Pride of the Ozarks Marching Band, according to director Tom Meyer.

“Kylie is a fantastic leader, conductor and has exceptional organizational skills," Meyer said. "She is a very important cog in the Pride of Ozark Marching Band Machine."

Gabriel is a JROTC cadet and is an important leader for the program, according to sponsor Jason Allen.

"Gabriel is a caring young man, mentor, and leader," Allen said. "He always finds a way to help, whether by giving his time, talents, or other means to make himself and others around him better. He is a tremendous team member, friend and student."
