OF THE WEEKS (10/20)

OZARK TIGERS

OZARK | 10/20/2025

Its time again to honor some our awesome athletes, artists and Tigers! This week's 'of the weeks' are athletes Reece Mason & Lucy Roark; artist Rowan Garner; and Tiger Delaney Coggin.

Reece, a member of the boys swim and dive team, recently helped lead the team to a fourth-place finish at the COC Championship Meet.

Reece placed third in the 100M breaststroke, eighth in the 50M freestyle, and helped lead both the 200M freestyle and 400M freestyle relay teams to third-place finishes.

Lucy is the setter for the varsity volleyball team this season and has already made her mark, according to head coach Adeana Chrestman.

“Lucy has made a remarkable impact running the varsity offense this season," Chrestman said. "Despite her youth, she has shown steady consistency, mental composure, and poised confidence in every match. Having a freshman perform this solidly in such a demanding role is very uncommon in the Ozark volleyball program. Lucy has done a phenomenal job leading our offense and earning the respect of her teammates."

Rowan is one of Ozark’s most talented color guard members and has been instrumental to the team’s success this season, according to head coach Theresa Walls.

“Rowan has continued to be an extraordinary leader and performer on our fall color guard,” Walls said. “His energy is contagious on and off the field. As his coach, I always appreciate his work ethic and the passion he has for the activity. Rowan helped bring home the Outstanding Color Guard Award in both prelims and finals last weekend at the Branson Marching Invitational.”

Delaney is currently the president of OHS’s Educators Rising chapter and plans to pursue a career in teaching, according to sponsor Trista Hilton.

“Throughout her high school career, she has been an active and dedicated member of Educators Rising, completing hundreds of internship and RYA hours within the Education and Training Program,” Hilton said. “Delaney’s hard work and passion for teaching have led her to compete and succeed at the Educators Rising state competitions for the past two years, earning her a place at nationals, where she placed in the top 10 in the nation both years. She plans to compete again this spring. Delaney is hardworking, organized, and highly motivated, demonstrating exceptional leadership and commitment as she leads the chapter this year. We are incredibly proud of all her accomplishments!”

Congrats Reece, Lucy, Rowan & Delaney!
