OZARK | 10/7/2025

Its time again to honor some our awesome athletes, artists and Tigers! This week's 'of the weeks' are athletes Priscilla Stagner & Trey Burton; artist Elizabeth Thompson; and Tiger Gwen Sullivan.

Priscilla is a first-year member of the Ozark Varsity cheer team and is already leaving her mark, according to head coach Tess Keller.

“Priscilla is one of only two freshmen on a competition mat of 25 athletes,” Keller said. “Over the past three weekends, as we’ve kicked off our competition season, Priscilla has ‘held the rope’ each time—a motto our program truly lives by. For a freshman to step into the hardest routine in our program’s history shows just how dedicated, fearless, and dependable she is. Priscilla is one of our most improved athletes this season, and I am beyond proud of how far she has pushed herself.”

Trey is an important leader for the boys soccer team with five goals and two assists already this season, according to head coach Zack Owens.

“Trey has been a leader and one of the hardest workers this season," Owens said. "He is a positive energy on the team and always striving to be his best. He also recently learned how to do a backflip simply for a goal celebration."

Elizabeth is one of Ozark’s most talented artists, with her own unique style, according to art teacher Lindsey Johnson.

“Elizabeth is so creative,” Johnson said. “She not only completes assignments with her own flair, but also works on her own creations on the side! She definitely deserves to be Artist of the Week.”

Gwen is an officer for FCCLA and a huge asset to the chapter, according to sponsor Lexy McNew.

"She is a dedicated officer and member of our local chapter who takes initiative and responsibility," McNew said. "Whenever she is given a task, she follows through and does an excellent job. Gwen is talented in both the sewing and culinary areas and uses those skills to help support FCCLA opportunities. Recently, she headed up a fundraiser for our chapter by spearheading a gourmet cupcake baking event at a home football game, taking care of all aspects of the project. Gwen deserves recognition for her hard work and dedication to FCCLA."

Congrats Priscilla, Trey, Elizabeth & Gwen!
