Ozark’s sweep of Kickapoo last week serves as the top highlight thus how far Kezi Lopez has asserted herself as a first-year starter and opposite outside hitter to all-stater Tara Venable.
Lopez led the Lady Tigers with 14 kills.
“It’s so exciting to be a part of this program,” she said. “I’m grateful I have had the opportunity to rise to the occasion and hopefully make a difference to help my team win.”
Lopez stepped into a starting role this season after senior Aubrey Browning suffered a torn ACL. Browning netted 241 kills while helping the Lady Tigers to a Class 5 state runner-up finish last season.
