The Ozark Junior High Tigers are halfway through their cross country season, and it’s already been one to remember. From the opening races at SWCCCA, Lebanon, and Queen City, the Tigers have shown toughness, consistency, and depth across every grade level winning the first 3 meets of the season.
The highlight so far came at the Nixa Junior High Invitational, where the 8th grade boys continued their hot streak by winning the team championship against some of the best competition in the area. Not to be outdone, the 7th grade boys, 7th grade girls, and 8th grade girls all fought hard and brought home 3rd place team finishes, proving that Ozark’s tradition of excellence runs deep across all levels.
On the individual side, the Tigers have had several athletes step up with standout performances in the 2-mile race:
Top 5 Boys (2 Mile):
Hudson Vesley – 11:29.5
Cody Spicard – 11:56.8
McKay Black – 12:05
Callum McClearn – 12:12.4
Jackson Fuchs – 12:17.3
Top 5 Girls (2 Mile):

Ady Yerby – 13:35
Emma McKinney – 13:41.8
Chuck Gardner – 13:55.3

With the first half of the season behind them, the Tigers have built a strong foundation of success and momentum. The athletes’ hard work, dedication, and team-first attitude have already delivered results, and the second half of the season promises even bigger things.
Ozark Junior High Cross Country isn’t just competing, we’re setting the pace. ????
