Its time again to honor some our awesome athletes, artists and Tigers! This week's 'of the weeks' are athletes Josey Roberts & Peyton Russell ; artist Alex Fletcher; and Tiger Cayden Irons.
Josey has kicked off her senior golf season with a bang, according to head coach Daniel Mullis.
“Josey has posted scores of 68, 68, and 65 in our first three events,” Mullis said. “She broke the course record at Silo Ridge in Bolivar with a score of 65, beating the previous record by one, and ended the day with seven birdies. It was as close to being ‘in the zone’ as I’ve ever seen on a golf course. Josey also recently verbally committed to Missouri State to play golf and will sign during our first college signing period.”

Peyton has led the football team as quarterback for the past few seasons and is off to a great start in his senior year, according to head coach Jeremy Cordell.
“Peyton has done a fantastic job of leading our offense and playing with resilience over the past several weeks,” Cordell said. “Against Webb City, Peyton threw for 300 yards and two TDs and added two rushing TDs as well. He is a great teammate, leads by doing the right things, and makes everyone around him better.”

Alex is a member of the front ensemble in the Pride of the Ozarks Marching Band and is a huge asset to the group, according to assistant band director DJ Faught.
“Alex is a fantastic leader in our front ensemble,” Faught said. “She is very knowledgeable and kind when working with her peers. Alex's musical abilities go beyond the band, if you pay attention during this year's field show, you will hear her beautiful singing voice.”

After spending the last four years heavily involved in StuCo, Cayden is spending his senior year serving as Student Body President, according to StuCo sponsor Claudia Little.
“Cayden has shown outstanding leadership as President of Student Council,” Little said. “His dedication, organization, and ability to put everything together have made a lasting impact on the school, and he is truly doing an amazing job representing his peers.”
