Lola Kensinger actually hadn’t been handed the home run ball from her first varsity career home run, yet, in the aftermath of Ozark’s 11-2 triumph over Branson on Tuesday.
But the Lady Tigers sophomore had already staked claim to the portion of the right-field fence that will need to be replaced, after her home run ripped through the top of the wooden, antiquated wall (yes, if a fence is prone to being ripped apart by a line drive, it is outdated).
“I broke (a piece of) the fence, so I got to keep the fence,” Kensinger said.
