Its time again to honor some our awesome athletes, artists and Tigers! This week's 'of the weeks' are athletes Chase Kitchin & Emma Calvert ; artist Faith Wilson; and Tiger Ella Justice.
Chase kicked off his senior cross country season with a bang, according to head coach Mitchell Furtkamp.
“Chase opened up his senior season on Saturday, September 6, at the SWCCCA Richard Clark Invitational hosted by Bolivar,” Furtkamp said. “His performance of 16:24 earned him the first medal by an Ozark boy at this meet in five years and places him fifth on the all-time performance list. Additionally, he led the boys team to a school record for team time average at 16:37. Chase and our boys team have been consistent in putting in the work, and it will be exciting to see how the season unfolds.”

Emma has been a key leader for the girls tennis team this season, according to head coach Mark McBain.
“Emma is the number-one ranked player on the Ozark girls tennis team,” McBain said. “In addition to her outstanding tennis skills, she also demonstrates strong leadership and sportsmanship.”

Faith is one of the many talented members of the OHS color guard, according to head coach Theresa Walls.
“Faith is always leading by example and maintaining a positive mindset in practice,” Walls said. “When it comes time to perform, Faith has shown tremendous growth in maturity and accountability this year. I can’t wait to see how this competition season unfolds for Faith!”

Ella is a talented chef in the Culinary Arts program and a dependable student, according to Chef Laurent Watts.
“Ella is one of my few go-to students for making just about anything,” Watts said. “I don’t trust many students to simply say, ‘Go make this, please,’ and then turn them loose. She is a great listener, has a genuine interest in culinary arts, and is pursuing post-secondary education in the field. I believe that Ella will be one of the next great chefs.”
