Ozark Junior High Cross Country Dominates at Lebanon with Back-to-Back Team Wins

The Ozark Junior High cross country teams continue to make their mark this season, bringing home back-to-back victories at the Lebanon meet on September 13. Both the boys and girls teams not only secured first place overall, but several runners also earned individual medals, showing the strength and depth of the Tiger program.

On the boys’ side, the Tigers packed tightly up front with six runners in the top 15, securing the team championship with 35 points. Leading the way was Hudson Vesley, who finished 2nd overall with a time of 11:44.03. He was followed closely by McKay Black in 4th (12:08.55), Callum McClearn in 7th (12:12.31), Jackson Fuchs in 10th (12:24.62), Cody Spickard in 12th (12:29.12), and Kenson Gaisford in 13th (12:32.82). Their tight pack running sealed the team victory and highlighted Ozark’s depth.

The girls’ team was equally impressive, capturing the team title with 38 points. Abigail Robertson led the charge with a 2nd-place finish in 13:01.31. Adyson Yerby took 6th (13:36.88), Emma McKinney placed 8th (13:41.71), Charlie Gardner crossed in 10th (13:55.25), and Kinsley Brownfield rounded out the scoring in 16th (14:11.61). Their strong performance sealed another team title for the Lady Tigers.

With both squads bringing home team championships and multiple athletes earning individual hardware, the Ozark Junior High cross country program continues to show why it’s one of the top in the area. The Tigers will look to keep the momentum rolling as the season continues.
