Its time again to honor some our awesome athletes, artists and Tigers! This week's 'of the weeks' are athletes Avery Tennison & Carson Sandgren ; artist Madison Harman; and Tiger Olivia Schupbach.

Avery is quickly establishing herself as an emerging leader for the softball team, according to head coach Brenden Schneider.

“As a sophomore," Schneider said. "Avery has stepped into a big role behind the plate and worked hard to be someone her teammates can rely on."

As goalkeeper and team captain for the boys soccer team, Carson is a key figure in the Tigers' success this season, according to head coach Zack Owens.

“Through three matches he has only allowed one goal," Owens said. "It makes our team average for goals against .3 per match, which is super low. He is the anchor of our defense and a big reason we are undefeated on the season."

Madison is one of the many talented artists at OHS, and this semester is taking on Fiber Arts, according to teacher Lindsey Johnson.

"Madison has Fiber Arts this semester," Johnson said, "and though we are only a few weeks into the class, she has shown the ability to be creative and go above and beyond on her projects. I am excited to see the amazing art that Madison will create this semester."

Olivia is currently serving as president and leading Ozark’s FFA chapter with dedication and vision, according to FFA sponsor Travis Phipps.

"Olivia has put in countless hours planning events for the chapter," Phipps said. "She has also had success in our FFA contest teams, including winning state on the Horse Judging Team, representing Ozark as our Creed Speaker her freshman year, and is planning on participating on both the Vet Science and Farm Management teams this year."
