The Ozark Boys and Girls Cross Country teams are gearing up for a competitive fall season under Head Coach Mitchell Furtkamp. Both teams aim for top-three finishes in conference and district meets, with the ultimate goal of qualifying for the state meet.
On the girls’ side, senior Ellsie Estes brings a wealth of experience as a two-time All-State honoree and state qualifier, as well as the 2024 conference champion. She leads by example with a strong competitive drive, toughness, and genuine care for her teammates. Senior Sydney Lister is a two-time All-Conference, All-District honoree and state qualifier, known for her consistent commitment to improvement. Senior Kaylee Johnson, a two-time state qualifier, leads with attention to detail and a caring attitude toward all teammates.
For the boys, senior Chase Kitchin earns respect from his peers through his integrity and dedication to doing things the right way. Senior Cayden Irons sets a high standard for himself and holds his teammates accountable, helping push the team to be their best.
