Track and Field Wraps Up Season with Big Wins and Broken Records

Ozark High School’s Track & Field program blazed through the spring season, and what a season it was. With incredible momentum, unmatched dedication, and unforgettable performances, the Tigers made the 2025 season one for the record books.

Ozark athletes have broken eight school records, a testament to their hard work, focus, and competitive spirit. From sprinting and distance events to relays and field competitions, the Tigers have pushed themselves to new heights and left it all on the track.

The Ozark Girls Track & Field Team led the charge, bringing home first-place titles at both the COC Conference and District meets. Their consistency and depth have made them one of the top teams in the region. Not to be outdone, the Ozark Boys Team also had a strong showing, earning second place at both conference and districts, proving that this program is thriving across the board.

Perhaps the most exciting news, Ozark athletes qualified for state in 18 different events. From record-breaking performances to championship wins, the 2025 Ozark Track & Field season has been one of the most successful yet.

The following athletes qualified for state! Those that placed in the top 8 also received medals and all-state honors!

-Kannon Williams: 200M (4th place) & 100M
-Izzy Rickard: Disc (4th place)
-Lola Kensinger: Triple Jump (8th place) & Javelin (8th place)
-Bria Wright: 300M Hurdles (8th place and new school record) & 100M Hurdles (7th place) & Long Jump (15th place)
-Ileana Naihe: 200M (14th place)
-Cade Morrison: 300m Hurdles (14th place)
-Brooke Bowman: 400M (12th place)
-4x400m relay (girls): Shelby Middleton, Sydney Lister, Olivia Carpenter, Brooke Bowman (11th place)
-4x100m relay (boys): Layne Miller, Kannon Williams, Jett Easley & Chase Kirkland (11th place)
-Lauren Carson: High Jump (13th place)
-Mallory Beets: Pole Vault (10th place)
-Patrick Shuck: 110M Hurdles (16th place)
-4 x 800M (boys): Chase Kitchin, Stephen Metcalf, Logan Belcher, Kole Delong (16th place)
-4x 800M relay (girls): Addi Lewis, Sydney Lister, Grace Smith, Lainey Garner (12th place)
