OF THE WEEKS (3/10)

OZARK

OZARK TIGERS | 3/10/2025

Its time again to honor some our awesome athletes, artists and Tigers! This week's 'of the weeks' are athletes Phoebe Jones & Kaitie Coleman; artist Grace Mika and Tiger Olivia McKinney.

Phoebe spent the winter season as the team manager for the boys basketball team, according to Head Coach James Donnelly.

“She was a great addition to our program with all of her hard work throughout our season," Donnelly said. "She was a great communicator, worked hard in her role both in practice and at games, and always showed up with a great mentality! Thank you Phoebe for all of your hard work throughout a long season!"

--------------------
Kaitie is a standout member of the girls swim and dive team and was an integral part of the 200 Freestyle and 400 Freestyle relay teams, helping them place 10th and 11th at state! She has also committed to swimming in college at the University of Saint Mary.

Grace is one of Ozark's talented artists with a passion for pottery, according to art teacher Adrian Johnson.

"Her love and passion for pottery shines through her as soon as she walks through the door," Johnson said. "She is confident, and her craftsmanship is amazing beyond her years. She researches ideas on her own and comes to class prepared with inventive ideas."

Olivia is one of OHS's standout Educators Rising members, according to Sponsor Trista Hilton.

"Olivia is making strides in her journey toward a career in education by actively participating in teaching opportunities and Educators Rising events," Hilton said. "She recently earned first place in her lesson planning event at Educators Rising State. She is the youngest competitor that OHS Ed Rising has ever had, and she is consistently making a positive impact on the organization!

"She is committed to growing as an educator through her volunteer work with Educators Rising, networking with other future educators in the organization, participating in internships within the Education and Training Program, and doing competitions. Olivia is a rising leader who is kind, respectful, and extremely motivated. Her passion for education and becoming a teacher in the future is admirable. She is a difference maker now, and she will without a doubt, be a difference maker in the future when she has her own classroom."

Congrats Phoebe, Kaitie, Grace & Olivia!
