This season has been an impressive one for our junior high cross country team, showcasing both individual talent and collective strength across multiple meets. At the SWCCCA meet, the boys’ team delivered a standout performance, taking 3rd place out of 30 teams, while the girls earned an admirable 4th place finish out of 20 teams. Following that momentum, our athletes headed to the Lebanon Invitational, where the boys’ team captured 1st place out of 27 teams, and the girls' team came in a strong 2nd out of 25 teams. At the Willard Invitational, the boys’ team once again showed their consistency, placing 3rd out of 19 teams, and the girls continued their strong run, finishing 2nd out of 20 teams. The Nixa Invitational presented some tough competition, but the 7th grade boys still managed to secure 3rd place out of 11 teams, while the 8th grade boys came in 10th out of 13 teams. For the girls, the 7th graders finished 9th out of 10 teams, and the 8th graders took 10th out of 12 teams. Lastly, at the highly competitive Chile Pepper meet, our girls placed 5th out of an incredible 39 teams, and the boys took 9th out of 42 teams, proving they can hold their own against some of the toughest teams in the region.
Overall, the team is looking incredibly strong as we gear up for our conference meet. With the hard work and determination we've seen so far, there's no doubt we’ll finish the season on a high note.
